This summer we took our last trip to Italy, which marked the end of our filming abroad for “If Only I Were That Warrior”.
We focused on wrapping up with our characters Giuseppe, back from Ethiopia for the summer, and Mulu, who we followed to a demonstration in Affile near the Graziani monument.
We also managed to secure some amazing archival material courtesy of the Central Archives of the State in Rome, the Laboratory of Iconographic Research and Documentation at Roma Tre University, and Millecartoline, an online vendor specialized in vintage postcard.
As we move into the fall, we will be starting a second period of editing, which will finally lead up to our February release! At the moment we are fundraising in order to cover this post-production. If you would like to help us finish this movie, please consider donating with PayPal here.
